September 5th - Charity Golf Day is a hole in one hit

05 Sep 2014

On 3rd September 56 players teed up for INTO UEA’s 5th Annual Charity Golf Day, raising an incredible £3,200 for INTO Giving.

The players arrived at Barnham Broom Hotel and Golf Club on a bright and sunny morning, and the perfect weather held out for the entire day as teams old and new competed for some fantastic prizes.

Highlight of the day was Vernon Keeley, from Eastern Cash Registers, for getting a hole in one on the 7th hole early in the morning. Vernon won £250 of pro shop vouchers courtesy of Hole In One Insurance. Had this happened on the 17th hole he would have walked away with a brand new car to the value of £25,000!

INTO Giving would like to say a huge thank you to INTO UEA and their INTO Giving committee for organising the event, to those who supported and contributed to the event through sponsorship, and to everyone who came along to play!

The overall winners were Liberty Hygiene, but teams from INTO UEA and INTO City London battled it out for the minor places. With company pride at stake, the INTO UEA team was triumphant, but INTO City London won two individual prizes, so honors were eventually shared.
