Everyone’s winning with INTO Giving!

A triple charity win was achieved on a sunny July afternoon in Newcastle upon Tyne. Four highly talented, World Championship winning, Irish dancers entertained visitors at the Friends of Gosforth Park charity fundraising day. The girls gave an energetic display, danced to Lord of the Dance music, impressing onlookers. They also ran a cake stall and tombola to boost their own charity fundraising total.

As well as supporting the park charity with their dancing show the girls raised funds for their own chosen charity, Parents of Kelly Hendry School of Irish Dancing. Their charity is raising funds to send their qualifying, most talented pupils, whatever their personal circumstances, to next year’s Irish Dancing World Championship event in North Carolina, USA. Jo Clark, a module leader at INTO Newcastle, who organised the dancing display was doubly delighted to be able to use the iGive scheme to support INTO Giving education projects.

Jo said, “We are thrilled to be able to use the iGive matching scheme to increase our fundraising total and also support INTO Giving charity projects worldwide. It is an incredibly generous scheme. For every pound we raised our charity receives and extra 20p from the iGive scheme and INTO Giving also receives £1.”

The Irish Dancing girls, Grace Hepburn, Annabel Soulsby, Jessica Fender and Annabelle Clark raised over £400 on the day, which means that INTO Giving also receives over £400. A great achievement. All three charitable causes really are winning with INTO Giving! Fingers and toes are crossed for the girls also achieving their dream of winning in North Carolina next year. More fundraising events are planned.
