INTO SLU’s iGive Fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

12 Oct 2018

INTO SLU is collecting spare change to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This fundraiser is in honour of Robert Smith, grandson of one of INTO SLU’s International Admissions Counselors, Denise Pearson. Robert was a remarkable young man who valued service, academics, and community involvement.

INTO SLU has a goal of collecting $500 dollars in spare change to help kick Diabetes in our lifetime. As with all iGive campaigns, INTO Giving will top up whatever you raise by an extra 20% for your chosen charity.

INTO SLU has placed collection jars around the Center, while International students in the English Through Service program will be assisting with promoting the event across campus. Throughout the Fall 2018 semester, these students will schedule times to collect spare change around the busiest spots on SLU’s campus.

Those who are interested in learning more about INTO SLU’s fundraiser for JDRF can contact Denise Pearson at denise.pearson@slu.edu or Ann Meechai at ann.meechai@slu.edu.
